Rep Ready

The 33 objections pest control reps hear at the door.

Every objection in the Rep Ready library, grouped the way they come up on the porch. Pick the ones you dread and an AI homeowner throws them at you out loud, then your answers are scored as part of a 100 point rubric.

Contract objections

7 in the library

  • “I don't want it for a year.”
  • “I just want a one-time service.”
  • “Is this a year contract?”
  • “I don't want to sign a contract.”
  • “I don't want the follow-up service.”
  • “I am renting.”
  • “I am moving.”

Price objections

5 in the library

  • “Why are you so expensive?”
  • “I'm broke.”
  • “How much?”
  • “What's cheap/half?”
  • “That seems really expensive!”

Need objections

5 in the library

  • “I really don't have any bugs.”
  • “I'm not seeing any bugs.”
  • “I don't need anything.”
  • “I already have a service.”
  • “My neighbor/friend/brother-in-law does it for me.”

Safety objections

8 in the library

  • “My neighbor had pest control and their dog/kids got sick.”
  • “Will this hurt my pets?”
  • “Are your pesticides safe?”
  • “Will this hurt my children?”
  • “I'm asthmatic; will this bother me?”
  • “I'm pregnant.”
  • “Do I need to leave my home?”
  • “I heard that stuff causes cancer.”

Trust objections

5 in the library

  • “My neighbor had pest control and the technician stained their walls.”
  • “My neighbor had pest control and the technician was always late.”
  • “How do I know you will do what you are saying you'll do?”
  • “What kind of guarantee do you have?”
  • “What if I see bugs after you spray?”

Brush-offs

3 in the library

  • “I'm busy right now.”
  • “Do you have a card or a flyer?”
  • “Can you give me a call later?”

Answer a brush-off on the porch. A come-back almost never closes, so agreeing to come back, call later or just leave a card counts as a missed objection. Stay brief, ask one question, answer the real concern, or close on a service date.

How your answers are graded.

Handling objections is worth 20 of the 100 points, the biggest part of the rubric. A good answer:

  • Listens first, then responds
  • Uses empathy and agreement
  • Gives concise, confident answers
  • Handles multiple objections smoothly
  • Redirects back to value and closing

Five homeowners, one door.

The same objection lands differently depending on who opens up.

Lay-down
